Hi guys! How’s it going today?
It’s been a one kind of a life rollercoaster for me this winter. So many ups and downs and everything between. This post is going to be a bit of catch up what is going on in our wedding project.
Okay so where to start? As you might know from my previous post, me and Teo are getting married next summer. The wedding day keeps on getting closer and I have been preparing things since Valentine’s day 2019. So a whole year has passed now and luckily we have still time left to prepare ourselves.

Event organizing has been very comprehensive and massive thing for me, in general. I have never been this in control of a single event that is so remarkable at the same time. It is a lot of work overall! You have to think about the venue, food, music, guestlist, logistics.. everything! Thankfully I have 6 made of honours for me to help with things. I still may have been a bit too control freak, so to say.
What is the best part then? Of course I hope that the wedding day will be perfect and be the best day of my life. There’s a lot of organizing still left but now the worst stress is over when we managed to send the invitations (designed by me!) to our guests. The whole invitation designing process was kind of a perfectionist’s nightmare, as I wanted everything be well, just plain perfect. Thank you printing house Calligraphen from Oulu for patience with me! And I can warmly recommend Calligraphen, as I chose them because of the Finnish customer service and that I got gold foiling on to the invitations’ covers, just as I had visioned.
Our wedding church is perfect for us: simple, minimalist and adorable.
Oh and one big stressful thing that came into my head is my wedding gown! I have been actively following a wedding second hand group in Facebook and I found the dress from there! I was super happy when me and my made of honor went to Vantaa for fitting the dress for me. It was just what I had been looking for and it was just the right size. How lucky am I? Of course it would have been nice to have the bride in a gown store moment, where I would have had the chance to try different gowns and compare. But I won’t complain, as I’m perfectly happy with my own gown.
Now the wedding organizing is at the point where there are just the details that needs to be taken care of. For instance the flowers and decorations. I must do some research of the prices of wedding flowers. Fortunately I have 5 months left for the preparations still.
I must say that I’m bit of laughing at this post’s headline. Last spring my made of honours tried to persuade me to take part in the TV-series that was about to be filmed in Finland and it was about brides finding the right wedding dress. Now I’m glad that this wedding stress was not taped and broadcasted in Finnish TV because I would have just humiliated myself😂 I have not watched the show but I can imagine it might have been entertaining.
All in all, I need to sit back and relax a bit because our wedding organizing is halfway done! Oh, should I book an appointment for cake-tasting..?🍰That sounds just awesome!
Thank you so much for reading! And as always feel free to leave a comment if you like. We will see on the next one, take care!
